Got into this ride in New Orleans and the Uber guy is from one of the North African countries. He heard my accent and asked where from Africa I am from. Even though I wasn’t in any chatty mood, I obliged him. When he realized that I am from a country that was a strong contender for the AFCON, he went on a long conversation about African football. I was hoping that my occasional “yes” and “okay” would be enough signal that I wanted to be left alone. Obviously, his social skills or some lack of it prevented him from recognizing that I just wanted to be left alone.
I was happy to get off at the airport when he started sharing personal information about his family.

I honestly don’t even know how to type this out without dying of embarrassment, but I need to know if this has happened to anyone else or if my driver was just completely unhinged.

I ordered an Uber home last night after grabbing Mexican food with some friends. I was about 10 minutes into a 25-minute ride. The ride was totally silent, no music, just vibes.

Out of nowhere, I had a sudden stomach cramp. I tried really hard to hold it in, but somehow, a completely accidental fart slipped out a made a noise not so loud but it did get the driver's attention, and unfortunately, it was a really smelly one. I immediately froze and opened my mouth to apologize, but before I could say anything, the he rolled down all four windows at the exact same time.

The cold air was blasting in, and it was super awkward. Then, he literally pulled over into a gas station parking lot, put the car in park, turned around, and looked at me. He didn’t yell, but in the most serious voice he said, "You know I can’t do this. You need to get out of my car."

I was so shocked I just started stammering, like "I am so sorry, it was an accident, I can pay for a cleaning fee if you want?" He just pointed at the door and said "Out."

He ended the ride right there. I had to stand in a random shell station at midnight waiting 15 minutes for a Lyft, completely humiliated.

Did he seriously just kick me out over a fart? Is this even allowed? I’m scared to report it because I don’t want him to reply to Uber support with "Yeah, she smelled bad." Please tell me I’m not the only one who has dealt with a driver this strict.

@joli3 Somewhat easy.. I just got started that early morning and was hoping to make some cash.. and to be honest, it was a weird situation to begin with

I picked this rider up from an apartment complex for a short ride .. about 6 miles. Rider was wearing a black dress and wearing excessive makeup. I tend not to look much when they get into the car. So I was not really sure what the person looked like at the beginning. Ride was normal with normal conversation. I do not remember in specific what the convo topic was, but it was nothing suspicious.

first red flag came up when I approached the apartment complex where rider was supposed to be dropped off. It was that type of complex where you really have to drop the passenger ff at the front, as there is not path to specific building. Instead of getting out of the car, this rider directed me inside the apartment garage. I was a bit confused, but I proceeded (customer service right?). Rider made me drive to a corner inside that dark and it was at 4 AM. So when I stopped, I turned to say "have a great day" and guess what I saw. She had already completely removed the top half of her outfit. I was shocked, but remained composed. Then she made a blunt inappropriate physical proposition. That was the first moment I looked at her very closely and from what I could notice, she was a transgender (male to female)... I managed to remain calm, then declined politely. All I said what that I had to go on to drive and make more money before traffic starts.. and I thanked her for the offer.. she said "it's okay".. got out and left..
